I am the owner of my computer and i need help please?

ok when i try to just click on anything on my desktop nothing happens or opens for me.it is try to say i am not the owner.i try to open user account to see whats the problem and that wont open for me. so i go and right click on explorer and then run as,and security opens so i uncheck the protection.it lets me in.but i cant do that to everything to get in some things dont have run as.i try system restore and nothing pops up for me to do it.i have this problem and wondering if anyone will please help me.i am the only user for this computer.

you just need to reformat your computer, ive had an almost similar problam with a program i ran on my computer on accident that i forgot was a virus. ask your bro to give you the restore disk if he has one, or use the win xp disk and reinstall it.

If you have virus protection software then u probably have a virus or adware. If you have a virus or adware maybe the software is protecting your computer from having the info lost or seen by someone else thus not letting you get into anything. If that isnt the problem then maybe someone got hold to your computer with out you noticing and did something to it.

start up your computer in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 during boot up and choose safe mode (without network) and then try to system restore, this may work, if not you have a trojan (spyware) or virus that has effected your registry badly. In this case you need to refresh installation of XP(OS) (before doing it make safe your personal files by copying to another drive(backup)
