You know the scenario - you have just got to the end of writing a long question or answer and you press the wrong bloody key and lose everything - how do you save something and also at the same time not infringe your computers protection of 'active screen' - is there a way - coz it is driving me up the wall !
Does anyone know how to save a question or answer in this Yahoo Answer site ?malware
Unfortunately, there is no direct way to do that. But there is an alternate way which I do all the time and it might be useful to you.
After typing every couple of lines, I hit ''ctrl+A'' to highlight the text and then I do ''ctrl+c'' to copy the selected text.
It will remain in the memory as long as you don't copy anything else.
Now if for some reason I lose the text then I can always ''paste'' it back (ctrl+v)
Does anyone know how to save a question or answer in this Yahoo Answer site ?norton 360
you could compose your answer in word then cut and paste it into the answer field on yahoo. Word will autsave from time to time should you get booted off yahoo so all shouldn't be lost.
i use copy as a save point, highlight and copy and you will not lose and u don't have to open word or notepad which when you are multitasking it can get a little crowded along the start bar
When I am entering a lot of information, or don't want to risk losing the information if the submit button does not work, I tend to Copy and paste the information into Notepad.
It's what works for me, but not much help for you now!!
right click on the question or answer then add to favourites done
click FILE - save as - decide on a location, change the file name and type to HTML this will save the page entire and images too
Otherwise just COPY and PASTE the question and answers into an email - use TEXT format will cut out all the coding and focus on the words - some edit will be needed.
