i do not have any protection on my computer what so ever

and i was hoping someone would might know a site maybe to go to where i can download something for FREE to protect my computer? If so LET ME KNOW.

While you are on www.download.com, go for Antivir personal edition. Free and effective. Bitdefender is another good stuff. I paid for it, I am using it for a year, but there is also a free verion available.

As people answered, adaware and spybot are very nice tools.

CCleaner is a cleaner to protect your privacy. Very good and trouble free. Can help to get your PC faster.
