Am i safe if i turn my computer off when someone is trying to hack in?

It said that there has been an internet attack. i ran both of my protection programs. One said i didnt have any infections. The other said i only had one. What the heck should i do? i turned my computer off so... please your help will be much appreciated!!!!

If you turn your computer off, they wont be able to get in, no.....but once you turn it back on, its open world to them

Your question is very misleading. You made it sound as though a hacker (which is an outdated term) is trying to personally break into your computer. That's apparently not the case. You either have a virus or spyware. If you do have either one, turning off the computer won't stop them. Antivirus and antispyware will.
