i have .mac which is supposed come w/ virus protection, but do i need additional protection for my computer other than what .mac provides?

mac say you don't need it , and the reason why is because they use the 1394 adapter, which is done by a firewire , which are more secure than ethernet cards

Yes.. it is badly needed... to include FIREWALL.. Virus protection PLUS firewall... Some people use Macafee(I hate them) and others(as I) use Norton.. I also hate it and think(know) that it is slowing down my machine so when my year is up on Norton, I am changing to a different one called kaspersky.com or another one called trendmicro.com... The computer school where I go state both are good and better than Macafee or Norton.. I am going to check both of them out to make sure
