Am I doing too much to protect my computer?

I just spend 80 dollars for symmetic Internet security and system works which includes a firewall, antivirus, spyware/adware protection, spam blocker, Norton clean up, etc. I also set it on a timer which fragments, scans for viruses and other security risks, deletes all cache and temporary files, etc every night when I don鈥檛 use the computer.

It's probably a bit more than you need, but it won't hurt. Symantec Internet Security is probably one of the best all-around packages there is. I don't use system works myself, but it will help you keep organized. Make sure you update things regularly, and renew when it runs out.

There is no such thing as too much when it comes to protecting your PC (I should know as Im a security pro). You are taking the correct steps to keeping your computer secure. However, I would not be caught DEAD spending that much on security software! Everything that you have there is availible for FREE from different programs, and to tell you the truth, Norton Anti-Virus, is not good. Below I will list a group of products that you could have used instead of paying all that cash!

Anti-Virus- AVG Free Edition
