I use a multiple program stratagy and it works fine.

AdAware SE by lavasoft from download.com FREE

TrendMicro Housecall FREE online spyware checker

Ewido FREE online spyware checker

There are some forums that you can go to and get help with specific removals.

I use HijackThis to print out a report of loaded files then check each one individually online to see if they are pest and there removal.

Keep your firewall on with no exceptions.

Keep your computer updated because spyware makers take Advantage of you not doing this when a new loophole is found in Windows (Hey when your # 1 people are going to take there shot at you)

You must check your computer for spyware at least once a week if you are on it every day.

With more use...the more you should scan.

Spybot

Install those and run

Install that. Should be good to go
